A Figueira Rubaiyat

A Figueira Rubaiyat must be the most famous restaurant in São Paulo, Brazil's largest city. Set in a garden where the branches of a hundred-year-old fig tree spread out over tens of metres, it stands out above all for its meat.

The beef, raised on the restaurant's own farms, is very good. The seafood paella, beef tartare and buffalo mozzarella we ordered to share as starters were delicious too.

In São Paulo's relatively safe Jardins district, A Figueira Rubaiyat gave us an enjoyable and delicious experience. The extensive wine list is impressive as well.
