Cesme Horasan Balık

Horasan is, in our view, one of the best fish restaurants in Turkey. Coming from a family of fishermen, the wonderful couple Kezban and Ahmet have built a legend over the years.

Horasan may be the best in Turkey for shellfish; the meze are magnificent, the blue-tail prawns are always wonderful, and our own favourite is the seafood noodles as a main.

A warm, friendly setting, quality service and, of course, magnificent food.

Five years ago they moved from their old spot down a side street — a tiny kitchen and five tables — to a garden, and they've managed to keep the same warmth and quality.

And set against the quality of what you eat, the bill you pay on the way out is very reasonable.
