Orkide Beach

September and October are the months when we remember the old Bodrum. The weather is a little risky, but the sea is warm, everywhere is calm, and at the few places still open the service and the food are very good.

Orkide in Gölköy is a place of many years, operating as both hotel and restaurant.

We went on their closing weekend, so the menu was a little narrow, but at tables right on the water they sent us away from Bodrum happy, with utterly fresh food.

Şevket-i bostan, which we're normally used to seeing in Çeşme, was the delicious surprise of the day.
