SUNSET TAVERNA by PARASKEVAS- "seafood only"

Santorini's most popular area is Oia, in the north of the island. Built on the clifftop like the whole western side, Oia is the island's most popular spot for sunsets and views. Three hundred and twenty steps below Oia lies Ammoudi Bay, with all of seven or eight buildings (you can get close by taxi, or take a shuttle down and back from the car parks above).

On our hotel's recommendation we chose Sunset among the Ammoudi options. The food was delicious, the fish and meze fresh, and with a front-row table the view was magnificent. At Sunset, a taverna serving classic Greek meze, the prawn saganaki, dried octopus and taramasalata were especially good.

Away from Oia's crowded, chaotic atmosphere, Sunset is a very pleasant place to enjoy the sunset.
