Antica Macelleria Cecchini

Dario Cecchini has turned fifty years as a butcher into an accomplished meat restaurant, welcoming guests in the charming town of Panzano an hour south of Florence.
Before service starts at 12:30, they begin pouring wine in the street from noon. Once you're at the table, a meat feast begins that runs until about 3pm.
The fixed menu opens with beef tartare, brings six kinds of meat, and ends with the region's famous classic, bistecca alla Fiorentina.
The price of the fixed menu — including the wine on the table, bread, various vegetables, and coffee, grappa and dessert afterwards — is 50 euros. You'll probably be full enough to skip dinner altogether.
If you're in Tuscany, Dario Cecchini is a good reason to make your way to lovely Panzano.
