L' Asinello Ristorante

L'Asinello is a small chef's restaurant that has been running since 2011 in the Tuscan town of Castelnuovo Berardenga. It has crowned its high standard with a Michelin star.
At Asinello you can choose from several menus, all built entirely from ingredients found in the region. But if you go, be sure to try the pheasant and almond risotto that has been on the menu since the beginning — a genuinely different experience. As a main, the venison served with a mushroom and fig sauce was very good too.
While we're here, a note on Castelnuovo Berardenga itself: this town of 9,000 people has five restaurants in the Michelin guide, two of them starred.
