Άρτεμις Ψαροταβέρνα - Artemis Fishtavern

Artemis Tavern is a wonderful fish restaurant east of Athens, out beyond the airport. You reach it by turning off the main road onto a dirt track that doesn't even have a sign.
The seafood is superbly fresh; the red mullet and the calamari were of a quality we hadn't found in a long time. Facing the sea, with a breeze blowing, we had a wonderful meal before heading to our flight.
We went on a Greek friend's recommendation, and the owner Tasos was extremely helpful. Since Tasos's brother-in-law turns out to be Turkish, the attention was at the highest level. The airport is twenty minutes away — a magnificent location if you have time before a flight.
