Serbian cooking has a menu that mixes Italian and Turkish. That mix produces options very well suited to the Turkish palate.

Burrata, cold cuts, börek, pesto, steak and meat dishes resembling our Adana kebab can be found in every restaurant.

Because the meat, vegetables and fruit are far fresher and more natural than ours, the flavour is at a higher level. We found in Belgrade, for instance, the kind of tomato we haven't been able to find in Turkey for many years.

We had a very enjoyable meal in the garden of Steak and Wine Bar near the Red Star stadium. An address we'd recommend for Belgrade.
