Emre Mermer Ocakbaşı
Emre Mermer, one of the first names that come to mind for steak in Turkey, has opened an ocakbaşı in Armutlu, where he started out, and it's become a lovely place. The concrete-and-wood decoration is very different from a classic ocakbaşı. The meze menu is a little narrow; of the meats we tried, the liver and the sweetbreads were very good.
