L'Odas

L'Odas sits right beside Notre-Dame cathedral in Rouen, France. Michelin-starred, it offers not only a wonderful menu but a gastronomic experience from start to finish.

Chef Suzanne Da Silva does wonderful work with the produce of the surrounding Normandy region. L'Odas works with tasting menus: alongside five- and seven-course options there's a three-course menu at lunch.

The cheese board offered at the end presents wonderful options from both Normandy and the rest of France. A 24-month Comté and a Saint-Nectaire were our favourites of those we tried.

From pepper ground in a metal mortar to the bread made specially for them and the way the salted butter is presented, L'Odas offers a special experience made up of dozens of details.

Rouen is an hour and a half from Paris. It's a small but very enjoyable city, and if you pass through we'd strongly recommend setting aside two hours for L'Odas.
