Roka İstanbul

ROKA was born in London and made its name with a modern reading of Japanese cooking. In İstanbul it sits at Galataport, right on the edge of the Bosphorus, and what it is best known for is the Japanese robatayaki tradition.
Robata is a Japanese grilling technique in which food is cooked over charcoal. At ROKA that technique meets sushi, sashimi and inventive Asian dishes. The faint smoke of the charcoal, well-balanced sauces and careful plating are what give the restaurant its character.
One of ROKA's great advantages is the view. Eating with the historic peninsula and the traffic of the Bosphorus in front of you is a pleasure in itself, and outdoors, watching the ferries and the boats go past, it is better still.
The lunch menu is worth knowing about too. It is more accessible than the evening menu and lets you try starters, hot plates and a main course. A pleasant way to get to know ROKA's kitchen.
ROKA Galataport brings together good Japanese cooking and a striking İstanbul view. Food off the charcoal, attentive service and the Bosphorus in front of you turn it into something of an occasion.
