Daniel et Denise

Daniel et Denise is a bouchon that has become one of Lyon's landmarks, operating across three sites. Chef Joseph Viola has appeared in the Michelin guide with it several times, most recently in 2020.
We chose the original restaurant, on Créqui. A likeable room, with a menu of Lyonnaise classics.
Daniel et Denise's menu leans on Lyon salad, foie gras, terrine, quenelle (a kind of sauced meat or fish dumpling) and a wide range of offal.
We can't say we ate our best meal in Lyon here, but it's a place we couldn't have gone to Lyon without visiting.
