Gallada by Fatih Tutak
Gallada, carrying the signature of our Michelin-starred chef Fatih Tutak, is Istanbul's new favourite. Inside the newly opened Peninsula hotel in Karaköy, it is striking for both its food and its terrace.
As at Türk, Fatih Tutak has again combined Far Eastern flavours with Turkish elements. You'll find things like Adana kebab dumplings on the menu.
The Peking duck was wonderfully cooked, and the onion piyaz and tahini sauce served alongside gave it a whole other perspective. Of what we tried, the ribeye was genuinely magnificent.
Gallada has become a very high-level restaurant — if you ask me, even better than the two-Michelin-starred Türk.
