Tokyo, Japan

Nishiazabu Ōtake is a representative of kaiseki cuisine in Tokyo whose skill has been crowned with a Michelin star.
Kaiseki was described by Anthony Bourdain as the best cuisine in the world. It's a food culture of six or seven dishes, with the menu built from seasonal produce, ending with rice before dessert — and if you can't finish your rice, the chef packs it up as sushi for you to take away.
Nishiazabu Ōtake seats six at the counter and four in its private room, ten in total. The meal takes about two hours and appeals to the eye as much as the stomach. You put yourself in the hands of the menu the chef has prepared that day, and all that's left is to enjoy it.
